Take-Home Teeth Whitening
We find that the patients with the best and longest-lasting whitening results are those who maintain and touch-up regularly at home. This is why at Ruby Family Dentistry we typically recommend reusable custom bleaching trays for home application.
The process begins with our team you a set of custom-fit trays that you will keep and reuse for years to come! We then provide syringes of high strength whitening gel that you will use to fill your trays. We offer several types of gel depending on your level of sensitivity. Many of our patients pick up bleach refills when they come in for their cleanings.
.Another benefit of custom trays is that you can selectively whiten just certain teeth. This is a great option if you have certain teeth that are darker than others (note: bleaching does not affect the color of most restorations ie bonding, crowns, veneers).
There are a few things that we recommend to help you maintain a bright, radiant smile. These include practicing good oral hygiene (brushing and flossing daily) and keeping your regular dental appointments. You may also want to consider using a whitening toothpaste or mouthwash and avoiding foods and drinks that stain.
